Nothing beats an award win or nomination when it comes to proving the value of your product or service but with so many out there to choose from, which awards are worth the investment in time and ticket cost?  We’ve compiled a list of the not to miss Event Awards to make time for.

1. Event Technology Awards

Often referred to as the Oscars of the Event Tech industry, the Event Technology Awards recognise companies that deliver digital solutions to the events sector. Awarding established companies (such as Bizzabo) as well as smaller companies (for example, Lineup Ninja, a start-up), the ETAs are a prestigious award ceremony for all event tech firms.  The Awards are open to all entrants, regardless of location or organisational type.

2. Eventex Awards

Eventex Awards has been around for over ten years and is similar to the ETAs in terms of widespread recognition and prestigiousness. The Eventex are given to companies that represent quality services, incredible achievements or great creativity in providing cutting edge event experiences. With over 80 countries being represented at the Awards, Eventex has given companies the chance to apply to over 180 categories, ranging from venues, suppliers and creators. If the ETAs are like the Event Tech Oscars, Eventex is the Event Industry Oscars.

3. MarTech Breakthrough Awards

As the name suggests, MarTech Breakthrough awards tech companies that are at the forefront of providing marketing and tech solutions. From AdTech, to Influencer Marketing, the Breakthrough Awards recognise the importance of emerging technology and its essential role in markets. Their award categories also include event management solution provider, and they recognise technology leadership and innovation.

4. M&IT Awards

M&IT Awards have grasped the changing nature of events and venues. It is for this reason why they attract more than 1,300 industry professionals. The M&IT Awards is organised by the Meetings & Incentive Travel Magazine, and it cuts across all sectors of the events industry by recognising the “Best Unusual Vendor”, “Best Destination Management Company”, “Best Event Provider” and more.

5. Event Production Awards

The Event Production Awards recognise individuals or teams that play a role in outdoor and live events. From supply chains, to production teams, to event management teams, the Awards identify those responsible for delivering forward-thinking solutions to the event industry!

6. AEO Awards

Representing “the best the events industry has to offer”, AEO Awards is for everyone in the events world. Awarding organisers, venues, and service providers, AEO Awards not only looks at the most innovative companies, but also the quality of their products and the experiences they offer. AEO has award categories ranging from the “Unsung Heroes” to “Best International Show (in America, Asia, and Europe)”, giving everyone a chance.

7. C&IT Awards

C&IT knows the importance of recognising event professionals. In the current competitive landscape, the C&IT Awards is inclusive to agencies, corporate and association event professionals working across all sectors and event types. Basically: there is a category for you. The C&IT Awards are judged by event professionals from the UK, from a range of global agencies that debate the entries put forward. Broad categories and fair judging – sign me up!

8. Digital Impact Awards

Looking for candidates in Europe, the Digital Impact Awards honours the best corporate digital communication companies. These Awards focus on the digital, with categories looking for companies that have excelled in social media, digital campaigns, best use of digital to a certain audience etc. The Digital Impact Award is a prestigious award, and the judges are sure to remind the nominees that winning in such a competitive field is a great recognition.

9. TicketingBusiness Awards

This Award ceremony is for all companies involved in the events world and are concerned with delivering solutions to making event management and events themselves more efficient. The TicketingBusiness Awards recognise leadership, innovation and achievement in the application of ticketing across music, cinema, sports and entertainment events. This is the fourth year they have run with categories like “Insights and Analytics”, “Guest Experience”, and “Impact Award”. The Forum recognises outstanding companies as well as offering guests a chance to network and meet likeminded leaders.

10. CVENT Awards

The Cvent Excellence Awards celebrates individuals and companies in the events and hospitality industries. This award ceremony prides itself on recognising people from organisations of all sizes, and from all places. The Cvent Awards has more than doubled their categories since starting in 2013, showing its commitment to mirroring the changing nature of the events industry.

11. Bea World Festival

The Bea World Festival is less an awards ceremony, and more a three-day celebration and networking of the international event community. Promising creativity, knowledge transfer and a destination experience, the ceremony finishes the festival by awarding international companies on the “Best B2B Event”, “Iconic Events”, “Best Brand Activation”, “Best Conference” and “Use of Technology” (as well as many others). Jam-packed with activities and interesting people, this Festival is worth a look.

12. AHEAD Awards

The AHEAD Awards focus on Hospitality, Experience and Design. It comprises over four annual, regional awards which runs over two-years in Singapore, Miami, Dubai and London: at the end of the two years, AHEAD runs a global biennale and awards the most outstanding hospitality projects in each region. AHEAD awards the best of the best – the visionary, outstanding, sleek and aesthetic designs. If you work as a hotelier, a designer, developer, or architect in the events industry, these awards are the ones to look out for.

13. National Outdoor Event Association Awards

Last but not least, here’s one that we WON in 2019 – the NOEAs celebrate the brightest and best in the outdoor events industry.  The NOEA is the only trade association specialising in the outdoor events industry and has over 500 members, covering local authorities, festival and event organisers, universities & students, entertainment agencies, promoters, venues and suppliers of equipment and services, together with every other practitioner in the World of Outdoor Events. Award categories include Event of the Year, Event Supplier of the Year and Event Innovation of the Year which we currently hold the title for.
